The VAN DE STADT 44 is an ocean-going yacht with the same sturdy appearance as the "Seal". We have designed it as a round-bilge in steel or aluminium. For ships of this size we assume that the building of the hull will be put out to a shipyard in order to keep the building time realistic. Moreover, a building shed is then unnecessary. The yacht itself offers sufficient space to function as a workshop for the completion. Here also, many interior versions are possible, depending on the plans. We drew an owner's cabin in the stern with separate toilet and shower, and a centre cockpit. For the choice of building method, rigging and keel, see our remarks in the Van de Stadt catalogue.
